I recently purchased Wayne Dyer’s “Whole Kit & Kaboddle” from my local public television station – a set that included several great books, CD’s & a DVD – all around the subject of inspiration. Included in this set was Mr. Dyer’s latest children’s book, “Incredible You!”. Since I’ve read nearly all of this author’s previous works, I was excited to see what his first childrens book would be like. And, I have to say that I absolutely love it!
“Incredible You!” is a great book for parents & children to go through together (so the parents have a chance to elaborate on each of the 10 lessons, helping their children to see the many ways that each may show up in their lives). Each lesson is discussed in a short, rhyming manner, and has awesome illustrations to boot!
Some of the lessons include:
“You Are Filled With Love”
“Find A Quiet Place Inside”
“Make Today Great”
“Change Your Thoughts to Good”
“Take Care of Yourself”At the end of the book are several great questions that parents can use as a starting-point for discussing each lesson further. This book would make a great gift! In fact, I plan to give it to all of the children in my life for their birthdays this year.

This beautiful book is near and dear to my heart. It is filled with positive words and ideas that will help our children feel good about themselves. In a world that is always trying to be politically correct, I find it refreshing that this book addresses the idea of “God” or a higher being – it helps to know that you are not alone! I love it, my children love it – it is a must have for anyone with children!!

Can we have too many moments when we can really, really open up dialog with our kids about the important things? Giving, creating, letting go of bad days and starting over? I don’t think so, and this wonderful colorful book brings those moments home. I have had so many great talks with my son, who is six, after reading this book.
I got it for him last Christmas when he was five, and he has had times in his life when he has applied ideas from this book to things going on. For example, with a bully at school…and he said to me “you know in that book when…” and we talked about how we can still choose to be happy, even when people might be mean. Wonderful! I now give it to friend’s kids, too. Thanks Wayne!
