The bestselling author of “Creative Visualization, Living in the Light, ” and “Creating True Prosperity” offers clear and effective methods to heal and integrate all the levels of one’s self. Most people face challenging personal issues – in jobs, relationships, finances, and health.

Traditional ways of living, working, and relating to one another and the environment often don’t seem to work well, yet there are few effective models for change.

Shakti Gawain shares the ideas and perspectives that have been the most helpful to her; guides readers in healing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wounds; provides tools for dealing with difficult situations; and proposes that the solutions to personal and planetary crises are within each human being.

Get earlier works instead by Judith (Santa Cruz, CA USA)

Customers Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Doesn’t say much at all, really, except that she doesn’t like the way the New Age movement is focused on the unrealistic goal of “trascendence” rather than transformation.

She earns points for saying that, at least. Her other key point is that we all need to work together to change the sorry and scary state of our world today. That’s pretty obvious, but a good point, too. If you’re new to her books or this topic, get one of the earlier ones, such as Creative Visualization or Into the Light.

If you’ve already read either of those, skip this one. Like many authors, she has mostly written several versions of what should have remained and, in effect is, only one book.

Good by Kaioatey (Awatovi, AZ)

Gawain is one of the most prolific writes on the New Age scene. I can’t judge her more esoteric texts, but this (probably slightly outdated) book I was struck by the sincerity and straightforwardness.

Unlike many of her ‘competitors’, Gawain never hypes her own experience or writes about stuff she has not experienced herself. This alone is very cool. The chapters on trusting your intuition (inner guidance), learning to deal with the subpersonalities of the psyche, or syncing with Nature are right on target and elaborated in a simple, clearheaded way. Gawain emphasizes inner work in a way that does not compromise the outer but rather enhances it. I liked the advice given in this book.

This is another great book by Shakti Gawain. She continues to shed light on ways to improve your life. This is the 4th book of hers I have and would recommend reading any one of her books if you are looking for alternative ways to improve your life.
